Poetry of the Soul

From Julie Unplugged:
Prayer is the poetry of the soul. Unnecessary and utterly important. It's like the vial of perfume wasted over Jesus' feet. Always a luxury, always an extravagance, always a waste. It changes nothing and everything at the same time. We can't help but long for, hope, wish ... pray.

  1. Enjoyed the post. I was surprised at how much of the doubts about prayer I could related to myself. Where is my "pilar of fire"; why can't hear God's voice; KNOW he is listening. In the end, what impressed me was Julie's comment, "I did it because I love my daughter". I'm ALL in!
